Thank you for your buylist! At Mothership, we take the integrity of our card collection and our community seriously. The following policies ensure that the cards we sell are authentic, properly conditioned, and obtained by legal means. You will need to sign the acknowledgement that you have received, reviewed, and agree to the terms of this policy statement.

Timeframe Expectations

You can drop off your buylist during our normal business hours. Typically, buylists will be completed within 1 week.  Please call ahead if you need your list processed within a particular timeframe or would like to ask about same-day buylist processing.

Card Condition/Edition and Pricing

All cards are checked for condition grade and to verify the correct printing and foil treatment match what was submitted. If your cards vary in any way from what was submitted, we will automatically update the card and its corresponding pricing. 

Card Authentication 

Each card will also be inspected for authenticity. If any cards in the buylist submitted to us fails any single authentication test, we reserve the right to refuse to purchase any or all cards in the buylist.  Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse your business in the future. 

If you would like to learn how to spot counterfeits, our staff is available to provide you with guidance on our authentication process. If you are unsure of the authenticity of your cards, we are happy to verify them in store at any time, and at no charge.

Legal Ownership 

If you try to sell us cards that match a stolen property report, we will notify the local police authorities. We also won’t buy them from you. Because that’s illegal.

Market Volatility

In order to protect ourselves and you from a volatile market, we reserve the right to refuse cards if the prices at processing drop precipitously from when you submitted your list online. If we notice a huge difference, we will contact you to discuss what you want us to do. 

Payment Options 

Store credit will be paid out to the account attached to your buylist. Checks will be written out upon completing your buylist to be picked up at your convenience. Paypal payments will be submitted within 72 hours after completion and are subject to Paypal’s transfer and settlement timeframes. If you have not received your Paypal payment within 72 hours, please contact the store.
